Featured artist- If you are interested in becoming a featured artist please send a short bio, or artist’s statement to Lisa. She also wants four or 5 pictures that she can use. Members at the meeting felt that Lisa should be next for featured artist.

Powderhorn Park Event- We do not have enough people that can commit to this event so I will let my contact know that we are passing on this opportunity.
June Meeting-
Items to bring to the June meeting- Julie is going to go to IKEA and get enough 4”x 4” frames that we can mosaic on. Please let me know if you plan on attending that meeting. Julie will try to have one for each person attending the meeting. If you attend also bring glass, tiles, found objects etc. to pool for all to use. We will each work on the 4” sq. for 10 minutes and then pass to the next person to work on for 10 minutes. It will be interesting to see what the finished mosaic looks like when all artists have put their spin on the piece.
The meeting will be at Amy Leyden’s house with details to follow.
July Members show at Maple Grove Art Center:
If you became a member there is a show that you qualify for in July.
There is no opening reception because it is during the Maple Grove Days and they get lots of traffic from that.
If you joined the art center please fill out the form at maplegroveartcenter.org, then you should be able to be in the show if you want to.

I'm so pleased with the show and opening - I cannot thank you enough for all the hard work you and the other guild members have done to make this show so successful. We so enjoy the beautiful artwork in our gallery and especially with all the spring sun lately, the center is just brimming!
Second, I wanted to remind you of the pickup dates and times for the closing of the show. Currently, April 30th is the last day of the show. We will be open nearly all day on Thursday, April 30th for pick up from 11 to 7:30 PM.
Originally we were planning on May 2nd as our additional date to pick up but there is some issue with staffing this date due to many upcoming events for our staff and artists that weekend. Because of this I’d like to offer Sunday, May 3rd as an alternative pick up day. I can be there from 11 am to 2 pm for those of you who cannot make Thursday.
Rachel will have another mosaic party on May 2nd. She will send an email to members.
6/15 Bridging Event at Surly Brewery- Several in our group are currently working on pieces for the event. I will forward an email with information. In my opinion it is worth attending
Swap and sale – We had fun with this and may make this an annual event.
Misc.- Wedi Board at Hank’s Specialty Inc. / Hanksspec.com was mentioned as a good source for Wedi Board.
