Rebecca Campbell

Rebecca crossed over to mosaics from painting in 2002.  Working with mixed media on a large scale, she continues to enjoy cataloging the flora and fauna of the south shore of Lake Superior.  Rebecca uses a wide range of materials: glass, ceramic, jewelry, and found objects such as bicycle chains, nails, and bullet casings.  She also incorporates text in most of her work.  She creates handmade tiles from clay with information, nesting habits, bird calls, poetry, and literary quotes related to the subject.
